Weed, marijuana, pot, cannabis, hashish, ganja, grass. The plant with the most nicknames out there. We all know that Amsterdam is considered Weed Wonderland, however, did you know that the first president of the USA, George Washington, grew it in his backyard too? Our source? Just trust us. Les Bouquinistes art posters represent the seasons and all things delicious. Inspiration was drawn from old botanical prints purchased from booksellers along the Seine in Paris. We use an overlay method that combines old and new, bringing the yesteryear to the present. The original prints date back to somewhere around 1850 (no we did not deface any originals if that’s what you were wondering). This project features twelve representations of different plants, fruits, or vegetables that each flourishes during a corresponding month in the year somewhere in the world.
