Throughout this six-week course, you’ll be introduced to Tambour, learning to use the hook to form a chain stitch lattice, and incorporate beaded accents. Alongside this, you’ll explore the fundamentals of Goldwork, working metal wires and threads to build texture and structure as you create winding branches that cascade down into strands of a beaded fringe. This design is worked on a silk organza, and blends soft lilacs, muted purples, silvers and dreamy blues to feel both elegant and ethereal. Whether you’re new to Tambour and Goldwork, or looking to explore these techniques in a fresh and contemporary design, this course offers a thoughtful and exciting journey into decorative embroidery.
