Mark the material extending beyond the face of the jack, then leave an additional 1/8 to 1/4 in. beyond that mark for the weld bead. Only the material behind this allowance should be shaped. Contact AGM before modifying the Jack Point if you are unsure how much material can safely be removed. Installation should be completed by an experienced welder or fabricator using a structurally suitable lift-point location. Jack Point should be positioned/welded such that the front face is vertical at vehicle ride and sides should be perpendicular to ground at vehicle ride height.
