Most Mares suffer from some form of PMT (PMS) throughout the spring and summer months, a consequence of the natural ovulation cycles all mares have. Some mares suffer more than oth ers and can become difficult to handle, grumpy and sometimes un-rideable. In competition mares this can become a real problem as their unpredictable temperament can influence their performance greatly.
