I always look forward to shooting falll foliage. I spent time in West Virginia a number of years ago to capture a series of fall photos. The Glades Grist Mill in Babcock State Park was the perfect location for a set of fall foliage images. There was a light rain and a strong breeze. On top of this, the temperature dropped to the low 30's as I was photographing. The landscape was magnificent and I continued shooting in spite of the deteriorating conditions. I was elated with the fall colors and the number of wonderful compositions was endless. This photo is one of my favorites from the series. I composed this in a way that the bridge acts as a leading line bringing your eye to the grist mill. The aging weathered mill is a beautiful subject with the fall leaves offering a stunning backdrop.
