Another in a series of five oil paintings based on exposed tree roots found along the banks of the beautiful Goulburn River near Shepparton in northern Victoria, Australia. Tree ro ots are nothing new in our ancient river systems, but I think their frequency points to the speed of change in the natural world. I've given this a dream-like quality. It looks sort of magical at the moment, but there's also a nightmarish quality about it. This is available as a framed 31cm x 39cm oil on board, but prints at $200 can be made available on request.
