Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley spent years perfecting vodka production at Buffalo Trace Distillery—the legendary Kentucky facility behind Pappy Van Winkle and Blanton's—before creating this handcrafted small-batch spirit using his custom micro-still and proprietary wheat-based recipe. Building on his ultra-premium HDW CLIX (named for its 159 distillations), Wheatley Vodka undergoes 10 total distillations: the wheat base distilled seven times, then married with other grains and distilled three additional times, before triple filtration and bottling at 82 proof. The result pours pure and crisp with clean grain character, a fresh, smooth palate, and subtle vanilla on the finish—balanced, delicate, and exactly "how vodka is supposed to taste" according to Harlen, backed by Buffalo Trace's 200 years of distilling expertise.
