Children enjoy singing when their teacher, Nanny Hineari, plays an autoharp. When the harp goes missing, the children and Nanny search everywhere, but it seems lost. Only a fantail saw elves taking the harp, and it leads Nanny to the place they are practising for a bush band competition.The elves’ band sounds terrible, so Nanny gives them some help, and they win the competition and quietly return the harp.
