When This You See "When this you see remember me though many miles I distant be" Note from the designer -This sampler is based on one finished by Susie Wade in 1892 at the age of 1 3. Susie used brightly colored wools, mainly red and green, on canvas, and honored her loved ones by including their initials. I decided to recreate Susie's sampler not as a true reproduction but as an adaptation. I changed and coordinated the colors, switched from wool to cotton thread, and from canvas to linen. I added two dividing bands and changed some of the motifs slightly, but most are Susie's. I also replaced her name and the initials of her loved ones with mine. Stitch Count: 165W x 180H Show more
