It is also antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory. Take a small amount and gently warm it up, rubbing it between your fingertips. Best applied to warm, damp skin fresh out of the shower. Use sparingly. Will naturally firm when chilled and soften when warm. Please note: If the tallow has a "pilly" or "grainy" feel to it, this is normal. While it doesn’t occur with every batch, it's due to the way the tallow has set. When tallow transitions from a liquid to a solid state, the saturated fat may cool more quickly than the other fatty acids, resulting in small beads of saturated fat. When you apply the product to your skin, those little beads melt away and absorb just like they were never there.
