Crafted in honor of Ryan "Whiskey" Armstrong, our Head Distiller and USAF Veteran. This 10-year aged Whiskey pays tribute to the men and women who flew and supported the U-2 reconn aissance plane. Aged 10 Years | 47.0% Alc./Vol. 94.0 Proof Tasting notes by Keith Barnes of Bainbridge Distillery Nose: Opens up very floral, with cherry blossom, leading into baking spice and earthy notes. After a rest there are whiffs of buttercream, warm caramel, nutmeg and some sturdy oak. Deeper are notes of rum cask, corn bin and vanilla. Taste: Opens mildly sweet with candy corn and creamy vanilla caramels, followed quickly with spicy notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of black pepper. Lingering on the palate are orchard fruits, charred cedar, orange curacao, savory spices and lively oak. Finish: Close is short-medium on the palate, with fruits and spice taking to the air, but the vapors of eucalyptus, sweet corn and cinnamon stick linger considerably longer. Last breaths are sweet and earthy with a hint of ground cocoa. Notes: Beautiful pour, great aromatics, flavor structure is well balanced with great punctuation from the cinnamon, orchard fruits and deep oak. Mouthfeel is unctuous without being syrupy. The profusion of vapors is the highpoint of the finish, a great end to a fun ride. Show more
