Shell Cordovan is famous for its gorgeous shine and unique crease-resisting property due to the density of the leather. It requires very little maintenance and over time, develops a beautiful patina. Shell Cordovan begins as a high-shine leather and overtime becomes duller with wear. This shine can be replenished through the application of leather conditioner and brushing vigorously. Compared to the cognac shell cordovan from Shinki Hikaku, the Whiskey has a more yellow undertone. Leather: Whiskey Shell Cordovan Stitching Colour: Camel Strap Thickness: 4.2mm at lugs, tapering to 2.2mm Temper: Medium Surface: Smooth. As Japanese Shell Cordovan is not dyed through, bending the strap will reveal a lighter colour underneath and will darken with wear. Patina: Low Water Resistance: Moderate.
