Harvest young for green onions, use as cocktail onions, or pickle. Let the bulb mature fully, and use it fresh in salsa, salads, or sandwiches, or add it to onion tarts, casseroles, or kebabs. The plants produce 3 to 4-inch bulbs. Onions needs full sunlight and begin to produce bulbs when day length reaches 10 to 12 hours. In regions with mild winters, plant in the fall and harvest in the spring. In colder climates, plant in the spring. Keep bulbs cool and dry until you can plant, up to 3 weeks. Space the plants 6 inches apart and grow in well-drained, rich soil. The tops reach 12 to 18 inches tall, and bulbs mature in 110 to 120 days. With proper conditions, White Bermuda Onions store well for about 2 months after harvest.
