upon their chalky faces, I am reminded of the words of Virginia Woolf, who beautifully described the cliffs as ‘standing out to sea, so that no sailor, rounding our eastern coasts, could fail to see them.’ This sentiment resonates deeply with me, reflecting not only the physical beauty of the cliffs but also the emotional journey of returning to the land of my ancestors.
