Love the motif, prefer a smaller budget? This painting is also available as a poster print — or as a set of 5 postcards. When asked by my friend Andrew Standen-Raz from the London based charity Karmabank to contribute a motif for their ongoing series "Postcards for Peace" I happily said "Thank you. Of course." All proceeds go to the David Nott Foundation. Then things happened like they only happen in a crazy shit creative brain. It was on the first news about the devastating destructions and suffering in Gaza this motif hit me. Mixing up the angry voice of Marillion's song "White Feather" and the painful yearning of "Wish you were here" from Pink Floyd. The rest is creative process and throwing your heart on the canvas. Which was a hard wood board in this case. How fitting. In the end asking myself: If anyone had to wear a white feather in this brutal conflict between human beings, fought in the birthplace of faith and hope, who would that be? Hoping anyone would find the courage instead to end this madness. Because it takes courage to be a coward.Acrylics and mixed media30 x 30 cm for the OriginalPrimed wooden board
