Dear Painting people, hoping this tutorial finds you well. Now, I know how you love leaves, in particular those with flowers. The white hellebore was one of my early tutorials but a favourite of the members, so I thought let's go back and add a beautiful leaf, one that completes the study and complements the flower in its positioning. This tutorial reconfirms some mixing basics, some attitudes to veining and maintaining light. I have set this as intermediate level but you could give it a go as a beginner but remember to do lots of practice studies first. Some of you may be lucky enough to have fresh hellebores in the garden so you could go to town and create a study page similar to the apple and poppy page I have shown on the study page discussion video.
