There are two grades of millet: a “food grade” with poor germination and many impurities sold inexpensively at mass merchants and fee d stores for use in feeding birds, and a “seed quality” sold by Seeds ‘n Such germinating at 80% or more with 99% purity. Our strain can be grown anywhere in the country and is adapted to most soil types. Short growing, usually reaching a maximum height of 3 ft.. Sensitive to frost, so best sown in May or early June.
