To be honest, it can be a little intimidating, It is unquestionably one of the East's best mountains, even comparing nicely to many of the icons of American skiing and snowboarding in places like Utah and Colorado. Whiteface is one of those few Eastern mountains whose size makes it ski and feel like a Western one. So, in keeping with our penchant for visiting awesome destinations, we've decided we're heading up to Lake Placid and Whiteface for a few days this January. Per usual, we've got our entertaining selection of good DVD bargain-bin movies to help pass the time. We've also got our typical array of salty snacks, including (but not limited to) beef jerky, as well as boxed drinks alleged to have come from coconuts. These long bus are always sort of fun, plus we even do a few convenient pit stops on the way. It helps break things up a little.
