Whitefriars Thermometer Block Paperweight, 1973 Monk Date Cane. Thermometer Block Paperweight is made with thermometer glass. It is designed and made by Geoffrey Baxter, one of Whi tefriar's premiere artists. The weight is of elongated canes in various colors embedded in clear glass. They are all upright as the photos show. The design is of several long spaced complex colorful canes surrounded by spaced sections of long white rods on a clear ground. Whitefriars monk cane dated 1973.
