This upgraded pack offers a larger storage capacity, greater durability, and enhanced features to keep equipment organized and accessible. The Whitney 2.0 has plenty of pockets for carrying essential gear. The dividable main compartment can be access from the top or bottom. Additional purpose-built pockets include an admin pocket, personal pocket, fleece lined top pocket, water resistant electronics pocket, two side pockets, and an external hydration sleeve for a water reservoir. An exterior Shove-It-Pocket is designed to fit and compress high volume gear, while keeping it within reach. MOLLE attachment points on the Whitney sides and back create additional options for storage. Carrying heavy loads is easy with the Whitney’s improved suspension system. Padded aluminum stays conform to the body while providing stability, and adjustable shoulder and waist straps complete the fit. The Whitney 2.0 includes both a rain cover and ground cloth that deploy from a dedicated lower pocket. Designed for adverse conditions, the bottom of the pack is protected by 1,000 denier Tarpaulin for additional resistance to water and abrasion. On top of that, for the compliment of gear that we carry per rescuer, it fits all that equipment. That compliment comes down to: 2 CLUTCHES, a SQUID, 2 CAPTOs, 2 cows tails, 2 hand ascenders, and foot loops. We’ve got webbing, we’ve got mambas, we’ve got Victim Harnesses. Any rope rescue that we’re going to do, or tower rescue, those bags come off the truck and they are assigned to the rescuers that are going along. It works for us.
