Zorzal is the first cocoa grower to receive this official Bird Friendly™ certification. At this 1,019-acre bird reserve in the heart of the Dominican Republic, cacao is grown through agroforestry, planted alongside native trees that are home to crucial bird and wildlife species, such as the Bicknell's Thrush. Over 70% of the Zorzal reserve is designated as “forever wild", meaning the forest is preserved and not used for agriculture.
