Wild Turkey Master's Keep Voyage 750ML is a 10-year Kentucky straight bourbon finished in Jamaican rum casks, bottled at 106 proof (53% ABV) in a 750ml bottle. This expression marks the first rum cask finish in Wild Turkey's history, born from a collaboration between Master Distiller Eddie Russell and Appleton Estate Master Blender Dr. Joy Spence. Renowned spirits writer Fred Minnick called it "the best rum-finished whiskey I've ever had."Quick Facts: ABV: 53% (106 Proof) | Origin: Kentucky, USA | 10-Year Age Statement, Rum Cask Finish | Distillery: Wild Turkey DistilleryProduction & HeritageWild Turkey Distillery, located in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, has been producing bourbon since 1855 and remains one of the most iconic names in American whiskey. Master's Keep Voyage uses Wild Turkey's signature mashbill of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley, aged for a full decade before being transferred into finishing casks. Those finishing casks previously held pot still Jamaican rum for 14 years and were hand-selected by Dr. Joy Spence of Appleton Estate — making this a rare cross-category collaboration between two legendary distilling figures. The result merges Kentucky bourbon's oak-driven backbone with the vibrant, tropical character imparted by aged Jamaican rum.Tasting NotesAroma: The nose opens with toasted coconut and vanilla bean, followed by layers of molasses, ripe pineapple, and caramelized brown sugar. Deeper investigation reveals hazelnuts, orange peel, and maple syrup woven through the classic Wild Turkey bourbon character.Taste: The palate enters rich and full-bodied with brown sugar and banana bread, building through baking spices, candied apple, and toffee. At mid-palate, charred oak and cedar box notes emerge alongside cinnamon, while molasses and maple syrup add a dense sweetness that never turns cloying. The 106 proof carries the flavors with authority without excessive heat.Finish: Long and warming, with lingering molasses, pecans, and a thread of charred oak that slowly fades. A subtle tropical sweetness from the rum cask influence persists well after the sip, leaving a satisfying and complex close. How to Drink Master's Keep VoyageAt 106 proof, this bourbon rewards neat pours — allow it to open for a few minutes in the glass, and a small splash of water releases additional tropical fruit and baking spice aromatics. For cocktail applications, the rum cask influence makes it uniquely versatile: try it in an Old Fashioned, where the molasses and brown sugar notes amplify the drink's inherent richness; in a Rum Manhattan riff using sweet vermouth, which plays beautifully off the Jamaican rum cask character; or in a Kentucky Mule, where ginger beer highlights the tropical and spice layers in the finish.Best For Gifting a serious bourbon collector who values limited-edition releases Adding a rare, conversation-starting bottle to a home whiskey library Celebrating milestones with a distinctive after-dinner pour Exploring rum cask-finished bourbon for the first time at a premium level Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat does Master's Keep Voyage taste like?
