Behind the Art “Wildflowers” was originally the study for a larger commission - the main requests being: 1) a sunset sky and 2) a pop of red. The creation process became much more than that, allowing me to dream a little as I crafted the cotton candy clouds and silhouette hilltops. It was pure play experimenting with the texture of those rich, creamy reds I rarely touch in my work (but will have to more from now on).
