WILESCO D3 UPRIGHT STEAM ENGINEThe D3 is the smallest steam engine operated by dry fuel in the Wilesco range and is still relatively new to our repertoire.The special feature is its upright mounted bowl made of highly polished brass and the oscillating cylinder. Thanks to the upright bowl, our D3 model has a base size of just 16 x 12.5 cm with a bowl volume of 50 cm³. This model can move one of our smooth-running drive models.The red base plate and the black boiler house are made of printed sheet steel. The elegant look of this model alone is a real feast for the eyes!The two sight glasses show the water level. There is no water where the glass of the water level indicators is fogged up. The water level can be read off the clear part of the glass. When the water tank is full, the D3 needs short breaks in operation in order to build up enough steam power again. From half the water level, nothing stands in the way of continuous operation with the characteristic noise.Please oil your D3 particularly well at the beginning; the speed may be a little lower during the first few runs of the steam engine.
