HISTORY: Jess Willard, The Pottawatomie Giant, defeated Jack Johnson in Havana, Cuba on April 5, 1915 with a controversial KO in the 26th round to win the Heavyweight Title. He def ended the title once before losing it to Jack Dempsey on July 4, 19191 in Toledo, Ohio. Offered here is an original ink signature of Jess Willard on a cut paper. Authenticated by PSA/DNA. FULL DESCRIPTION: This is an original, white cut paper measuring 1 1/2" x 5." Signed in blue ink, "Jess Willard Aug. 27th/51." Not creased. Tape residue otherwise clean front and back.
