Ogilala marks an introspective journey from William Patrick Corgan, also known as Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins. Released in 2017 under BMG, this album reveals a stripped-down side of the artist, blending elements of rock, folk, and subtle world influences. Each song showcases Corgan’s distinct quivering vocals against hauntingly minimalist arrangements, creating an intimate listening experience. With its blend of gentle piano, acoustic guitar, and evocative strings—especially on standout tracks like “Shiloh”—Ogilala captures moments of romanticism and raw emotion. Fans of Corgan’s lyrical storytelling will appreciate the album’s reflective themes and atmospheric melodies, making it a unique addition for those who admire his evolution as a songwriter.
