Artisan Cotton by Another Point of View is a cross-dyed "quilter's weight" cotton that acts as a solid but has more depth. Good saturated colours work as strong neutrals or on thei r own as garment fabrics. It's yarn dyed, so the colours in the name reflect the colours of the warp and weft fibres, giving the fabric a chambre effect - it's pretty awesome. I find these just a little bit heavier than most quilting cottons. They absolutely make beautiful quilts, but I would also strongly recommend considering them for garment sewing. They're just enough weight to make a great dress or tunic, and the colours are so gorgeous. Spark - Experiment! Try something new in your quilting, or make a pretty tunic for fall (that's my plan).
