About the Series: This ambitious new body of work includes painting done in anticipation of, and during an artist’s residency at Chalk Hill in Healdsburg, CA, where Lacey escapes from her downtown San Jose studio into the Sonoma outdoors to work en plein aire. These new works reflect on the desire to run away and search for freedom, to a place where nostalgic twilight and silent country landscapes beckon our Escape.
