Select optional extras only when required; their prices will be added at checkout. Step 7 — Check everything before ordering Confirm that the VIN, vehicle details, measurements and uploaded files are correct. Accept the Terms & Conditions, then select the checkout button to add the order to your cart. Important: We manufacture the label using the information you provide. Incorrect customer-supplied information or measurements may require a new paid order. How to Apply the Label Before you begin Apply the label in a clean, dry, sheltered area. The recommended surface and air temperature is approximately 15°C to 25°C. Do not apply the label to a wet, dusty, greasy, freshly painted or recently polished surface. Step 1 — Check the label Before removing the backing, check: The VIN is correct The size is correct The label matches the order information The intended fitting position is correct Do not fit the label if anything appears incorrect. Contact VIN Shield before removing the backing. Step 2 — Test the position Place the label in position while the backing is still attached. Check that it is straight, fully visible through the windscreen and does not obstruct the VIN characters. Use low-tack masking tape as a positioning guide if needed. Step 3 — Clean the surface Remove dust, wax, polish, silicone and grease using isopropyl alcohol and a clean, lint-free cloth. Allow the surface to dry completely. Do not use household polish or leave cleaning residue behind. Step 4 — Remove part of the backing Avoid touching the adhesive. Peel back only a small section of the backing paper to expose one end of the label. Step 5 — Apply slowly Align the exposed end with the positioning guide. Press it down gently, then slowly remove the remaining backing while smoothing the label from one side to the other. Use light, even pressure to prevent creases or trapped air. Do not stretch the label. Step 6 — Press firmly Once correctly positioned, press firmly across the complete label, especially around the edges and VIN characters. Use a clean microfibre cloth or a soft-edged applicator. Step 7 — Allow the adhesive to bond Keep the area dry and avoid cleaning, rubbing or disturbing the label for at least 24 hours. Full adhesive strength develops gradually. Important Fitting Warning The label uses tamper-evident material and may be damaged if lifted, repositioned or removed after application. Take time to check the VIN and alignment before allowing the adhesive to touch the surface. VIN Shield UK is not responsible for fitting errors, incorrect positioning, contaminated surfaces or damage caused while applying the label. If you are not confident fitting it, use an experienced vehicle technician or professional sign/label installer.
