Yes it is back! The original windsurfing board and sail have returned. The new Windsurfer LT is the replacement to the original Windsurfer. This board is wider, lighter, and higher volume than the original. It is much faster as well . The board is ideal for One Design racing, all around cruising, entry level use, and SUP. The Windsurfer LT keeps all of the fun of the original board but with many modern improvements like 3/4 EVA deck plus light stiff AST construction, modern daggerboard, and power box fin. The 2021 Windsurfer LT complete rig is made of Mylar and Dacron with a single head batten and two leech battens. Comes with sail, mast, boom, uphaul, outhaul, base and extension. The Windsurfer LT sail comes in either a 5.7 or a 4.5 sail size. The 5.7 is for either freeride sailing or racing, while the 4.5 is for teaching or learning. Rigging has become considerably easier with the addition of the clamp on boom. The days of tie on booms are no longer. This is the ideal sail for getting on the water in light wind and just having fun.
