This luminous linocut print was inspired by an oil painting the artist made in 2004 of Cape Smokey on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. After reworking the size and various elemen ts of the original piece, the artist used reduction printing to create the first seven impressions, adding the birds as the final step of the printing process. As many as six colors were applied at once in an individual impression, and 32 colors in total were used to create this wonderfully detailed print. Printed with oil-based, fine art inks on Stonehenge, 100 percent rag paper. Titled, numbered, and signed in pencil below the image. Show more
