3-hour winging intro lesson covers these topics: Safety on the water: How to self-rescue and get back to shore Gear Setup: How to rig and de-rig your gear Reading the wind and use it to your advantage. Wing handling Flipping the wing How to fly the wing in order to steer, power up, depower, and increase your overall stability on the board. Controlling the board How to use the wing, the wind, and your body to get the board to move where you want it to. How to get going from your belly to knees to standing with proper foot placement and body position Switching directions and rotating the board. Staying upwind It’s important to get back to the beach you started at so learning to sail with the correct body position is key to getting and staying upwind. We will teach you the concepts and the practical methods. Our area for teaching is flat, shallow and clear making it a perfect spot to learn in a controlled environment. Scheduling Lessons can be spread out over multiple days or multiple weeks. Lessons are available every day of the week, scheduled at your convenience.
