The fruits are average 17 cm long. Hairy Gourd Optimum germination temperature: 30-32˚C . Seeds can be started indoors 3-4 weeks before frost date for earlier harvests. Harden plants off by reducing temperature, water, and fertilizer. Plant outdoors after danger of all frost has passed. Winter melon is loaded with nutrition.
