As winter approaches and the forest grows quiet, this forest bathing walk invites you to slow down and find nourishment in both nature and community. Spend two unhurried hours on the Birdsong Fairy Trail at Mendon Ponds Park exploring a gentle, mindful way of being in the woods, quite different from your typical hike—no water involved! Forest “bathing” is about immersing yourself in the sights, sounds, and sensations of the forest rather than tracking miles or identifying every plant and bird. Through flexible, guided invitations, you’ll awaken your senses, reflect, and arrive fully in the present moment as we wander at an easy pace. Class will close with light snacks and time to reflect before heading back into the season ahead. Please note: This class is an active walking tour, approximately 1 mile on natural terrain. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. The rain date is Sunday, December 20th from 9:00 AM–11:00 AM.
