The Winthrop Tackle EPIC Butt is a glue through-butt design, geared with octagonal hoods, matching nuts and nylon washers. A machined flat on the reel seat ensures anti-reel rotati on while fighting the fish. EPIC Butt comes with an either short or long mushroom gimbal to be installed by the rod builder. Created to accept reels from 30# – 50# Class. Every detail is important. We designed our gimbal with a mushroom shape for more comfort, so you stay focused on the fight. Available in our classic short design and our new long gimbal adds an extra 1-3/4” to your Epic Butt. New – EPIC Butt #1 is a modified version of EPIC Butt and accepts a size #1 ferrule and ferrule nut instead of the glue through-butt design. Show more
