A flush fitting black bell push - this means that the push fits flush to the wall or doorframe with the movement behind the push. There is a need for a hole behind for the movement and bell wire. The center push will complete a circuit in a wired doorbell system ( these circuits operate between 8v -24v) and the push is certified for these low voltages, independent of whether the door bell system is powered by a bell transformer or batteries.
