The Wind Sensor is an optional safety add on that helps protect your motorized retractable awning on breezy days. It monitors wind activity and automatically signals the awning to retract when the preset threshold is reached, reducing strain on the fabric and arms and offering extra peace of mind when weather shifts unexpectedly. This model includes three adjustable wind speed settings and communicates wirelessly with your awning’s motor. Setup is simple: mount the sensor within 10 feet of the awning, choose your preferred sensitivity level, and let it work quietly in the background. Compatible with: Awntech motorized awnings. Not compatible with manual awnings. Note: This model also includes a Sun Sensor. Keep the sun setting at “0” to avoid interference with wind detection.
