Wiremold by Legrand XB814 Empty Outdoor Ground Box The Wiremold XB814 is a waterproof outdoor power box designed to be installed in the ground, the box is empty and requires a sold separately cover assembly to be inserted in the box for your power or data. Outdoor Rated Design The box is made out of a UV rated material that is designed to withstand any type of harsh weather. The box maintains an air pocket protecting the devices and plugs in the box for year-round operation. The gasket seals have been tested to perform under six feet of water for over 24 hours. The box meets IP68 requirements even while in-use, now you can use your cables in any weather even when they are plugged in. The box can accept up to two 1.25" PVC conduit connections, one for the feed and the other to daisy chain. Requires Sold Separately Cover Assembly This is the empty box that the cover assembly installs into, sold separately cover options include: XB814C520BN, brown cover with 4 powerXB814CLVBN, brown cover with 12-port data plateXB814CLVGY, gray cover with 12-port data plate The covers feature a tamper resistant key and lock opening that can be used if security is desired. The lock nut tool XBLNT is sold separately and is used to tighten the conduit nut. Installation and Usage NotesThis is the empty box only and requires a sold separately cover assembly. The ground box electrical circuit must be protected by a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) upstream from the ground box. The cover must be closed while in use. Use only molded plugs and cords that are rated for outdoor use that are no larger than 6 gauge. The maximum length of plug allowed at the end of the cord is 3". The cover assembly can't have both power and data in one box, however 2 boxes can be ganged together to achieve power and data. The box can be installed in concrete, but not fully encased. The bottom must remain open for drainage.
