Solstice sits in the middle of Wireworld’s speaker cable range, below Oasis and above Luna. For a cable at this price the construction is more serious than you might expect: four conductors in a Quad DNA Helix carrying thirty-two insulated strands, at 13AWG total. That is a genuinely heavy gauge — heavy enough that resistance over a normal domestic run stops being something worth worrying about. The conductor is oxygen-free copper. Insulation is Composilex 5, the current generation, which is the same insulation Wireworld uses in cables several tiers above this one. Four termination combinations are offered — spade to spade, banana to banana, and both mixed arrangements — on silver and gold plated OFC crimp contacts. Which you want depends on your amplifier and speakers, not on sound quality: spades give a larger contact area and grip a binding post firmly, bananas go in and out easily and suit terminals you cannot get a spanner to. If your amplifier has recessed terminals, measure before you order, or ask us. There is a bi-wire version at a modest premium. Bi-wiring runs separate conductors from one amplifier to the high and low sections of a speaker that has two sets of terminals, so the current the woofer draws is not sharing a conductor with the tweeter’s. Their claims about noise and resolution are assertions rather than measurements — no test method, no figures, no independent results are given. The one objectively checkable technical claim behind the range is the DNA Helix patents, US 8,569,627 and US 9,620,262, and a patent establishes novelty rather than performance. We would rather tell you that than quote marketing copy at you as though it had been measured. Country of manufacture: Not published. Wireworld is headquartered in Davie, Florida, but we could find no Made in USA claim for the cables themselves anywhere on their site — the only manufacturing statement we found concerns packaging, which they say is printed in the US. A head office is not a factory and we are not going to present it as one. Warranty: Wireworld publishes a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects to the original purchaser, with damage from abuse or wear excluded. That is essentially the whole published policy — there is no itemised exclusions list, no claims procedure and no statement about transferability, though the phrase “to the original purchaser” implies it does not transfer.
