Type A and Type B are different physical formats — they are not interchangeable. Type B is the larger card used in cameras from Nikon, Canon, Fujifilm, Blackmagic, Panasonic, RED, and Sony BURANO. Type A is the smaller format, used exclusively in Sony Alpha and FX cameras. Check your camera's manual to confirm which type it accepts before ordering. Do I need a special card reader to use this card with my Mac or PC? Yes — CFexpress Type B cards require a compatible card reader. Standard SD or USB card readers will not work.
