How to Use Tire & Wheel Cleaning Rinse wheels and tires thoroughly to knock off loose dirt and cool the surface. Dilute Wise Guy 1:1 with water in a spray bottle. Spray liberally onto tires and wheels. Let the foam dwell 30–60 seconds — do not let it dry on the surface. Agitate tires with the Tire Tamer. Agitate wheels with Shine Supply Wheel Brushes. Hit the barrels and lug pockets while you're in there. Rinse completely before moving to the next wheel. Dry the tire, then apply Decked Out Tire Dressing for a finished look. Detailer Tips Work one wheel at a time. The product cleans by dwelling — if it dries on the surface, you've lost the dwell and you'll see streaks. Always work in the shade on cool wheels. Heat causes flash-drying and can dull certain finishes. For anodized or polished aluminum, skip Wise Guy and use a pH-neutral cleaner like Cool Guy.
