Fuel Filter is the cartridge-type filter in the diesel fuel supply circuit, mounted between the tank and the injection pump. It removes particulate contamination and separates free water from the fuel before it reaches the injection equipment, protecting the pump and injectors from the abrasive wear and corrosion that untreated fuel causes.
