This session is for first time clients as it is a longer appointment time to accomodate the medical history & womb health intake. A traditional sobada womb healing session, rooted in indigenous Mexican and Central American traditions, is a holistic practice focused on restoring balance and health to the uterus and surrounding organs~ This session is about 75-90 mins & includes a consultation about your womb health journey. As an herbalist, full-spectrum doula & massage therapist of almost a decade I create a customized wellness plan for you during our intial consult ~ A sobada is an ancient practice passed down through generations of Indigenous healers, Sobada de Matriz is a sacred and ancestral practice that gently reconnects you to the wisdom of your womb and the center of your being. This ceremonial massage is offered with deep respect, honoring the spirit of the woman, the lineage she carries, and the sacred cycles of life within. The session involves gentle abdominal massage and manipulation techniques aimed at releasing energetic blockages, promoting circulation, and aligning the reproductive organs. Including herbal oils or medicinal plants to aid in the process to enhance relaxation and healing. Sobada sessions are often seen as therapeutic not only physically but also spiritually, aiming to reconnect individuals with their bodies and promote overall well-being. With soft, intuitive hands and grounded presence, the lower abdomen, womb, and hips are lovingly tended to—helping guide the uterus back into balance, encouraging the flow of blood, energy, and emotion, and creating space for healing on both the physical and spiritual levels. This practice invites release, remembrance, and restoration. The session is accompanied by herbal medicine, breath, sound healing, hot stones or hot towels—offering you a space to rest into the earth, listen deeply to your body, and receive the medicine of touch and tradition.
