They work by gently bouncing between folds of clothing, circulating warm air and absorbing moisture to leave your laundry soft, static-free, and chemical-free. How to Use The Load: Place 3 balls in for small to medium loads, or up to 6 for larger loads (like towels and bedding). The Scent (Optional): To add a subtle botanical aroma, add 2–3 drops of your favourite essential oil to each ball. Let them sit for a few minutes before tossing them in with your laundry. Our favourite is Lemon Myrtle or Eucalyptus. The Result: Dry your clothes as usual. You may notice your drying time is reduced by up to 25%! Care Instructions Storage: After the cycle is finished, keep your dryer balls inside the dryer with the door cracked, or in a well-ventilated basket. They need to air out between loads. Cleaning: If a ball becomes soiled, spot clean with cold water and a mild wool wash, then air dry. Pilling: Over time, the wool may "pill" (develop small fuzzy bumps). This is a natural characteristic of pure wool and actually increases the surface area, making the balls even more effective. Longevity: One set of wool dryer balls can last for over 1,000 loads—roughly 2–4 years of regular use.
