Sourced from sheep raised in Germany, this soft, fluffy batting retains its beautiful natural creamy color along with some of the wool's natural lanolin for softness and resilience. A Note About Minimally Processed Wool Part of the beauty of this wool is how close it remains to the natural fiber. Although the fleece has been cleaned and carded into soft, airy batting, small bits of grass, hay, or other meadow vegetation may remain throughout the wool. This is normal for minimally processed wool. We actually love this about it—a reminder of the sheep and the meadow where the wool began. Less processing also allows the wool to retain more of its natural character, lanolin, and creamy color. If you prefer a more refined batting, we also offer more highly processed wool options.
