Premium Wool "Normal" Vest A good, basic vest is something a lot of folks don't know they need until they have one. But a well made, simple, plain vest is surprisingly hard to find. Most of what's out there seems to just be trying way too hard to be a thing. Our new ordinary vests aren't that. True to their name, Aroundsquare's Normal Vests are just plain old, straight cut, 100% wool, five button, mandarin collar goodness. You can wear them over a t-shirt, over a sweater or flannels, or even over a shirt and tie. Vests excel as an insulating layer, and we wanted to offer an alternative to synthetic fleece, or knitted sweater vests. Our Wool Normals feature the same athletic cut and trim sizing as our cotton vests, but with a clean pocket-free build that counter-intuitively makes the garment more versatile--as it can be dressed up or down depending on what you’re wearing it with. At launch, the vests will be available in a deep aqua colour, which is neutral enough to wear with almost anything. The material has slight give to it, which makes the sizing slightly more forgiving than the cotton version. The material is thick (think of a softer version of any army blanket), and the high mandarin collar provides nice warmth on the shoulders and the back of the neck. Note that these have the buttons on stage left (the opposite of our cotton vests). If you're planning to wear them primarily with a T-shirt, and to take a bit of care when you wash them, you should be fine in your standard size.
