Welcome to the Lonsdale Leather Studio. Come make your own leather Work Gloves, with instructor Roxy! You'll learn: How to cut gloves from leather, grain direction and marking the pattern. Precision sewing Maintaining a narrow seam allowance, with small curves and pivoting techniques utilized. Walk-through of glove construction, industry tricks, and overview of modern glove making. This is a great course for sewing enthusiasts who have at least a moderate degree of experience on a machine, and is great for film industry professionals to learn some new skills! $300.00 includes materials, instruction and tool use. Range of leather options. Machine sewing experience is highly recommended. WHERE: 76 w 6th ave, in Vancouver. WHEN (choose from the below dates): Sunday, March 29th, from 10am-6pm Sunday, April 26th, from 10am-6pm Sunday, May 17th, from 10am-6pm This is a semi-private workshop with only 3 per students per class. This is to ensure you receive thorough instruction, guidance and end up with an incredible pair of gloves! ___________________________________________________________________________ Cancellation Policy: - Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 7 days in advance. Refunds will not be given if cancellation or rescheduling happens within that window. Sick Policy: - We can appreciate and respect that sickness/illness happens unexpectedly, in the case of becoming ill within 7 days of the workshop, students will be refunded the cost of materials. Admin Fee: There is a non-refundable $20 admin fee for all workshops. This helps us cover the cost of charges accrued from cancellations. Rescheduling Policy: Rescheduling is allowed, if done at least 7 days prior to the start of the scheduled workshop. If rescheduling occurs more than 3 times for the same workshop, the workshop will be automatically refunded less the cost of the admin fee. Age Policy: Participants must be 15 years of age or older to take this class. Waiver: All participants are required to sign a liability waiver upon entry to the studio.
