Freenote makes chinos that undo all the trauma of casual Fridays. These are seven-day-a-week replacements for your favorite jeans. The style is reissued season after season in new and core fabrics, making for a perfect evergreen style. On top of that, Freenote's focus on production quality means these will be on your legs for a good long time. This batch is made from a custom 11oz Japanese denim, designed to reproduce a sample fabric from the early 1900s. Woven on a vintage shuttle loom, it has a tightly-woven face, with small neps and irregularities, as well as a very subtly hairy texture. The denim is sanforized (a treatment to prevent fabrics from shrinking excessively when washed), but is otherwise unwashed, and has a fairly rigid feel despite only being 11oz. Over time, and especially after the first few washes, the fabric will soften considerably, additionally developing slow, low-contrast fades like the original fabric. The cut is Freenote's slim-straight chino fit, with a comfortable medium rise, athletic thigh, and a narrow (but not skinny) leg that still fits over boots. Two slash pockets give you a place for your hands, while two welted rear pockets (one with a button and flap, one without) give you a place to put things that aren't hands. Fits true to size. No shrink with a cold wash and hang dry. 100% cotton 11oz Japanese denim fabric Coin pocket with herringbone detail Clean finish interior with binding Stripe cotton lining details Custom metal hardware from Kentucky Wash cold and hang dry Rinsed True to size Made in USA
