A Little Care About The Rubber EPDM rubber is durable, but there are two things it really doesn't appreciate: oil and excessive stretching. Take your bracelet off before working on a vehichle, cooking with a lot of oil, or doing anything else likely to coat it in oil. If it does get oily, wash it as soon as you can with gentle soap and water, then dry it thoroughly. You also don't need to see how far the bracelet can stretch just because it can stretch. Repeatedly pulling it farther than necessary will weaken the rubber links over time. Slid it over your hand, wear it with pride, and it should serve you just fine. If a rubber link eventually does give up the ghost, the bracelet can be repaired.
