What is Working with Computers (DSE)? The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations seeks to protect the health of employees by reducing risks from working with visual display units (VDUs). What's Included in the Working with Computers (DSE) Course? Explains the hazards associates with the use of such equipment and the steps that can be taken to avoid personal injury. The training required for both office and field-based workers (workstations and mobile devices). All display screen equipment (DSE) includes desktop and laptop computers, word processors and hand-held computing equipment. Course Content Explain the hazards associated with DSE. Describe how to reduce the risk of injury. Describe the safety considerations when using non-keyboard input devices. Explain the correct use of portable devices. Describe the considerations when using a computer bag. Describe the features of repetitive strain injury. Describes employee entitlements in relation to eye tests. Course Format This Working with Computers course is delivered online and presented via an easy-to-use interface which is retina friendly, engaging, interactive and has a fresh modern style. The course can be accessed using (PC, Tablet or Mac), and the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge, please note that Pop-up may need to be enabled. Certification The course content complies with subject related standards and has an associated online knowledge assessment the successful completion of which results in a Certificate of Achievement that is certified by TQA and carries unique registration number. Certificates can be printed and saved. T&C The DSE course will be available for 30-days once the account is activated with the new title.
